LAS VEGAS —

Jack Kayil scored a team-high 19 points and the New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons,

86-75

, at the Pavilion at the

2026 NBA Summer League

on Monday.

The Knicks dropped their first two Summer League games and looked headed for a third straight loss after falling behind 24-20 in the first quarter, but New York bounced back almost immediately.

Aided by a 16-6 run in the first 5:42 of the period, the Knicks went from being down by four to leading by six (36-30) and never looked back, ultimately holding a 51-43 lead at the break.

Even though the Pistons put up a fight and limited New York to just 17 third-quarter points, the Knicks still held a 68-64 lead with 10 minutes to go and didn’t relinquish it.

Kayil

led New York in scoring with 19 points while adding four assists and three steals.

Dillon Jones added 18 points, six boards and four assists, while Liam Robbins recorded 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and four blocks.

Nick Jourdain had 10 points, and Oziyah Sellers added 10 points and seven boards off the bench.

The Knicks made 41.3% of their shots from the floor and 33.3% of their 3s.

Chaz Lanier

led all players in scoring with a game-high 24 points for the Pistons, while rookie Ebuka Okorie chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Isaac Jones was the only other player to score in double digits for Detroit, posting 12 points and eight boards.

The Pistons shot 38.6% from the floor and 30.3% from beyond the arc.

The Knicks will return to the hardwood Thursday at the Pavilion against the Golden State Warriors at (
