, finished 10-for-21 from the field with three 3-pointers, five assists and two steals.

The Jazz battled in the opening quarter and held a 15-11 advantage with just under four minutes left in the frame. San Antonio stormed back with a 13-3 run to close the first, giving them a 24-18 lead through 10 minutes of play. The Jazz outscored the San Antonio Spurs 26-22 in the second quarter, trimming their halftime deficit to just two, 46-44. Utah, however, was unable to carry over that momentum into the third quarter.

Much like the first quarter, the Spurs started a bit slow, but they turned up the heat down the stretch. Over the final 3:24 of the third, San Antonio put together a 15-4 run and outscored Utah 30-20, helping the Spurs take a 76-64 edge into the final frame that they never relinquished.

Hyunjung Lee, a native of South Korea who has played professionally overseas, provided a tremendous spark off the Spurs’ bench. He dropped 22 points (5-11 FGs) with a game-high four 3-pointers and added five rebounds.

RJ Davis tallied the lone double-double of the evening with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Darryn Peterson, the No. 2 overall pick

, finished with 15 points, scoring 11 of those in the first half. Tamar Bates led the Jazz with 16 points, while Bez Mbeng chipped in 12 points, four rebounds and five assists. Orlando Robinson and Matt Cleveland each added 11 points for Utah.

The Jazz (1-3) are back in action against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday (
