Ex-Premier League star becomes first manager to be sacked this season after just five games

Michael Duff has become the first managerial casualty of the season after being sacked by Wycombe Wanderers - just five games into the new League One campaign.
Duff has paid the price for a winless start to the season, with Wycombe drawing three of their five league games so far this term. The 48-year-old, who has managed Cheltenham Town and Swansea City in the past and previously played for Burnley in the Premier League, leaves his role after just shy of one year at the helm.
Wycombe's 3-3 home draw with MK Dons on Saturday afternoon was the Northern Irishman's final game.
The League One outfit confirmed that their disappointing end to the 2025-26 campaign, where Duff oversaw just four wins from 12 games since the beginning of March, was a significant factor in the decision to part company with their head coach.

A club statement read: "Wycombe Wanderers have parted company with Head Coach Michael Duff and First-Team Coach Alex Morris.
"The club has made the decision in light of a disappointing run of results since the spring and believes the time is right to take a new direction.
"Everyone at the club would like to thank Michael and Alex for their hard work and contributions to Wycombe Wanderers and wish them every success for the future. The appointment of an interim Head Coach will follow later today."
Since being chosen to replace Michael Dodds last year, Duff won 20 of his 52 matches in charge of the Chairboys, drawing 15 and losing 17.
Wycombe, who salvaged a point courtesy of newboy Jayden Wareham at the weekend, return to League One action on Saturday when they travel to Leyton Orient.
