Leeds open talks over new Daniel Farke deal

Leeds are negotiating a new contract for manager Daniel Farke, who is in the final year of his Elland Road deal.

Evans said: "As far as the contract discussions themselves, Daniel and his team and I have had really good chats for the past three months and they're all on the same page," speaking to the BBC.

Farke has impressed since arriving in 2023, overseeing promotion in 2024-25, then last season’s 14th-place Premier League finish and an FA Cup semi-final.

Leeds have taken five points from their opening three league matches this season and want to secure his long-term future.

Evans added: "Unlike signing him back in 2023 or doing a deadline day deal kind of thing the time pressure is far reduced and so we have a time to get it right as far as what he wants and what we want. I don't feel it's taking a long time."

"As long as we're still operating together as a group, and we're doing great on that front, I'm not worried," he said.
