Man Utd drop clearest hint yet over Rashford's future as club bosses reach out

Manchester United bosses have invited Marcus Rashford to be part of a documentary about the club in a move which suggests they are prepared to perform a stunning U-turn and keep the outcast at Old Trafford.

Rashford has not kicked a ball in anger for United since December 2024. The Red Devils were expected to sell him to the highest bidder, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen to get him off the wage bill.

But it has emerged that United executives have asked Rashford if he wants to be included in the fly-on-the-wall film the club has agreed with Amazon, in a multi-million pound deal.

It's understood Rashford has not made a decision, as he continues to mull over his next move. But the invitation suggests United might be willing to head into the new season with Rashford in their plans.

Rashford fell out with former boss Ruben Amorim after revealing he wanted to leave his hometown club, before being sent on-loan to Aston Villa and then Barcelona last season.

Barcelona rejected the option to make the move permanent in a £24m deal. It means Rashford will return to United following his summer break, in the wake of being involved in the World Cup with England.

His future remains in limbo, with several clubs weighing up a move for the 28-year-old forward.

Cameras have started rolling for 'All or Nothing - Manchester United' now some of Michael Carrick's squad have returned to pre season training. And will continue to do so until the end of next season.

Amazon wanted to do the same project last season, but the then manager Amorim refused to co-operate.

United insist the documentary is "aligned with the club's desire to be as open and transparent as possible" with the club's billions of supporters around the world.

The film promises to give viewers unprecedented access to the inner sanctum of the Old Trafford dressing room and Carrington training complex.
