Vinicius Jr. undergoes cosmetic procedure after World Cup: Here’s what his new look is like
The Real Madrid and Brazil star reportedly sought greater chin definition

Vinicius Junior has revealed a dramatically different appearance after reportedly undergoing a cosmetic procedure following Brazil’s disappointing exit from the 2026 Men’s World Cup.
Images of the Real Madrid forward began circulating online after he visited a clinic in Goiania, Brazil. His altered facial contours immediately attracted attention, with some supporters claiming the 26-year-old looked almost unrecognizable.
The treatment was described as chin harmonization, a cosmetic procedure that uses fillers to reshape facial contours without traditional surgery.
Vinicius reportedly wanted greater definition around his chin and jawline. The resulting photographs showed a noticeably stronger and more prominent lower face than supporters were accustomed to seeing during the World Cup.
What procedure did Vinicius have?
According to TMC, dermatologist Alessandro Alarcao performed the treatment after traveling from Miami to Brazil specifically for the appointment.
Chin harmonization can involve injectable fillers placed around the chin and jaw to alter proportions and create a more defined profile. The procedure doesn’t necessarily involve surgical incisions, despite some reports describing it broadly as surgery.
Vinicius was photographed at the clinic shortly after the treatment. Any swelling visible in those initial images could mean his eventual appearance differs once the immediate effects settle.
The pictures quickly became a source of jokes and comparisons online. Several supporters said Vinicius now resembled former Chelsea and Brazil midfielder Ramires, who also joined in with the reaction.
Vinicius prepares to return to Real Madrid
The cosmetic treatment came shortly after Brazil’s earliest World Cup elimination since 1990.
Brazil lost to Norway in the Round of 16, although Vinicius remained one of the team’s brighter performers. He finished the tournament with four goals and one assist across five appearances.
Attention will now return to his club future as he prepares to report for preseason duty with Real Madrid.
Vinicius has only one year remaining on his current contract, creating speculation that Real Madrid could consider selling him rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Club president Florentino Perez has publicly insisted that both parties want the relationship to continue.
Vinicius will therefore return to Madrid with questions surrounding his contract and considerable attention on his new appearance. Whatever supporters think of the transformation, the decision was ultimately a personal one made during his brief summer break.
