Where to watch Manchester United vs Rosenborg: TV channel and live stream for pre-season friendly today
JJ Gabriel likely to feature for Manchester United as squad heads to Norway for second leg of pre-season
Manchester United continue their pre-season campaign against Rosenborg today.
Man Utd travel to the Lerkendal Stadion in the Norwegian city of Trondheim for a second test of the summer against the 26-time champions of Norway.
The two teams have only ever met once previously, and that was in July 2024 when a stoppage-time goal from Noah Jean Holm earned a 1-0 win for Rosenborg.
That was the scoreline in United opening game of this summer’s pre-season campaign as they were beaten by Championship side Wrexham in Finland last weekend.
Michael Carrick’s side have further friendlies to come against Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds and AC Milan, which will see them head to Sweden, the Republic of Ireland and Poland.
As was the case for the trip to Helsinki, Andrey Santos, who joined from Chelsea earlier last week in a transfer worth £50million, is the only new face in the travelling squad as he looks to follow up on an impressive debut.
Fellow summer signing Youri Tielemans is taking a break following his World Cup exertions with Belgium and Karl Darlow in the final stages of his recovery from a minor procedure undertaken at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, the rest of Man Utd’s World Cup contingent have yet to resume club duties. This means Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Senne Lammens, Amad Diallo, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Altay Bayindir, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford are all unavailable.
In fact, the one change from last week’s squad is the inclusion of wonderkid JJ Gabriel as he replaces Ethan Wheatley.
JJ Gabriel has earned a senior call-up for Manchester United’s pre-season friendly against Rosenborg
