"We want to share with you that Alejandra Jaramillo is no longer part of the regular cast of ¡Siéntese quien pueda! We thank her for her dedication, her talent, and all the moments she shared with this team and, above all, with you, our audience," Bernal said.

"On behalf of the entire family of ¡Siéntese quien pueda! and We Love Entertainment, we wish her all the best in her upcoming projects" he concluded.

Although the television network publicly thanked her for her work and did not officially link both situations, the dismissal occurred after the controversy that sparked a wave of criticism on social media.

After Mexico was eliminated from the 2026 World Cup by England, Jaramillo posted a series of stories on Instagram in which she jumped for joy and wrote: “CHAO. BYE BYE. SAYONARA. ARRIVEDERCHI”.

In another post, she directed an ironic thank-you to the English goal scorers: “Thank you, Kane. Thank you, Bellingham. They tell me they have roots in Esmeraldas,” in reference to the Ecuadorian province of Esmeraldas.

The messages went viral and sparked a wave of criticism from Mexican users, including the creation of the hashtag #BoycottUnivision and hundreds of messages demanding the host's departure.

Jaramillo later issued a public apology, assuring that it was never her intention to offend the country or its fans. However, the controversy continued for several days and her absence from the program fueled rumors about her future at Univision, until finally her departure was confirmed.
