Lewis Hall signs new Newcastle contract

Lewis Hall has signed a new long-term contract with Newcastle United, committing his future to the club until 2031.
The 22-year-old left-back had attracted strong interest from Manchester United, who reportedly made him their top target for the position during the summer transfer window.
Hall was understood to be open to a move to Old Trafford, but Newcastle were unwilling to sell the England international. Instead, Hall has agreed a two-year extension to his original deal and will remain at St James’ Park for the next five seasons.
The defender joined Newcastle from Chelsea in August 2023 and has since made 107 appearances for the club, helping them win the Carabao Cup in 2025.
Hall has also started the current campaign strongly, playing every minute under new head coach Matthias Jaissle, including three Premier League matches and two Carabao Cup victories.
